Current Initiatives ACA Accreditation As part of its strategic plan, the NCDAC is pursuing American Correctional Association accreditation for all parts of the agency. Air Conditioning Upgrades This complex NCDAC project aims to design and install air conditioning at 40 state prisons that lack cooling systems, either partially or entirely, by 2026. Hope University Launched throughout the NC prison system, Hope University provides offenders thousands of tablet-based academic, vocational, and self-improvement courses available to take at their own pace.
