Rehabilitation & Reentry The Division of Rehabilitation and Reentry oversees a comprehensive array of reentry programs, services, and resources. Health Services The Division of Comprehensive Health Services provides full-spectrum, evidence-based medical care to all offenders in custody. Support Services The Division of Support Services oversees multiple, complex operations across agency facilities statewide. Stein Forms Gang Prevention and Intervention Task Force, Continues Office of Violence Prevention Governor Josh Stein signed Executive Order 21, announcing the continuation of the Office of Violence Protection and the establishment of the Gang Prevention and Intervention Task Force, co-chaired by Secretary Dismukes. Current Initiatives ACA Accreditation As part of its strategic plan, the NCDAC is pursuing American Correctional Association accreditation for all parts of the agency. Air Conditioning Upgrades This complex NCDAC project aims to design and install air conditioning at 40 state prisons that lack cooling systems, either partially or entirely, by 2027.
