Three new wardens were named this week at prisons in Eastern North Carolina, Carteret Correctional Center, Roanoke River Correctional Institution and Greene Correctional Institution.

An offender housed at Harnett Correctional Institution died this morning after being assaulted by other offenders.

For the third year, the NCDAC Education Services section led our prison facilities in friendly competition through the Education Challenge, an initiative to increase the number of educational completions earned by our justice involved individuals.
