2025 NC Rehabilitation and Reentry Conference - Session Proposal

The NCDAC invites proposals for presenters at the 2025 NC Rehabilitation and Reentry Conference, April 1-3, 2025, in Raleigh. The conference will gather stakeholders to share best practices, network and advocate for systemic reform. We invite you to propose a session for the conference.

Conference planners are looking for session proposals that meet one or more of the following objectives:

  • Highlight innovative programs, trends, and initiatives that support justice-involved individuals.
  • Incorporate and document evidence-based policies, practices and programs.
  • Examine the collateral consequences of conviction and successful tools to address them.
  • Offer information about grants, funding sources, and available resources.
  • Promote effective advocacy on behalf of justice-involved individuals.
  • Collect, analyze and present data to support informed decision-making.
  • Support and facilitate cross-sector collaborations and initiatives that maximize use of limited resources in local communities.

Provide a concise description of the proposed session (maximum of 150 words). Please use complete sentences (no bullets or lists). The session description will be used in the conference book and agenda, if the proposal is selected. NCDAC reserves the right to change or amend the session description.

Please describe: Who will benefit from this session? What knowledge or awareness level is necessary to grasp the material? 
Please describe: What are the key takeaways for those who attend? What useful tools/information can attendees expect to leave the session understanding/knowing/accessing? 

Session spaces will include a PowerPoint screen, presenter table, chairs, and microphones. Presenters must bring their session slides on a thumb drive in the event of computer incompatibility, and are expected to print their handouts or materials to be provided to participants. Please describe any additional technology or setup needs your session requires.

Provide a biography of the presenter, including training, education and experience. If there are multiple presenters, include a biography for each one. Include a digital photograph in jpg format. The biography and photograph will be used in the conference book, if selected. (50-100 words) NCDAC reserves the right to edit biographies for typographical errors and formatting as needed.
