With great thanks for the vital public service provided by the state’s probation/parole officers, Governor Roy Cooper has proclaimed July 16-22, 2023, as Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Officers’ Week in North Carolina.

Congratulations to North Carolina's newest group of probation/parole officers. The 18 officers from Class 5 for 2023 completed their seven-week basic training at the NC Justice Academy in Salemburg. 

More than 500 reentry professionals, advocates, service providers and local reentry council members participated in the three-day 2023 NC Reentry Conference.

Congratulations to 37 Department of Adult Correction officers and staff. They were awarded Advanced Criminal Justice Certificates by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission, during the board’s quarterly meeting.
