The HiSet & Vocational Challenge is an initiative to increase the number of high school equivalency and vocational certifications earned by offenders in prison. The initiative's accompanying dashboard shares data and information with stakeholders.

The dashboard provides:
Informative View: The dashboard provides a quick and informative view of education credential attainment. It offers at-a-glance information on the achievement of HiSET High School Equivalency and vocational certifications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: The dashboard is a resource for various stakeholders within the correctional education system. This includes NCDAC leadership, prison facilities, wardens, and community colleges. It promotes engagement and collaboration among these key players.
- Performance Metrics: The data published on the dashboard allows participant facilities to assess their progress and performance. They can gauge how they are faring in terms of annual goal attainments for education credentials and vocational certifications.
- Regional Comparison: The dashboard provides a means to compare performance by region. Facilities can assess their standing in comparison to others within their region, which can drive healthy competition and a focus on improvement.
- Agency-Wide Ranking: In addition to regional comparisons, the dashboard offers insights into agency-wide ranking. This broader perspective can provide motivation for facilities to excel and contribute to the overall goals of the NCDAC.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: By presenting data in a clear and accessible format, the dashboard promotes data-driven decision-making. Facilities and stakeholders can use this information to adjust strategies and allocate resources more effectively.
- Accountability and Transparency: The dashboard fosters accountability and transparency within the NCDAC system. It ensures that progress and results are visible to all relevant parties.
