Offender Lamorris W. Rivers (#0830041) died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Central Prison after an apparent suicide.

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice has named Timothy Jones as the new warden of the Pender Correctional Institution in Burgaw.

Jones, 39, had been an associate warden at Johnston Correctional Institution in Smithfield since 2018.
