Williamson Promoted to Judicial District Manager for Community Supervision

Officials with the Department of Adult Correction have promoted Jamie Williamson to the position of Judicial District Manager (JDM) in Judicial District 13 which covers Bladen, Brunswick and Columbus counties within Judicial Division 2.

“Jamie Williamson has worked very hard with dedication and commitment to ensure community safety and oversee our officers who supervise offenders,” said Todd Ishee, secretary for the Department of Adult Correction. “His skills, training and leadership are great assets to the department.”

“I am very pleased to promote Jamie Williamson. He’s a hardworking manager,” said Tracy K. Lee, deputy secretary for Community Supervision. “It’s a challenging job, but I know he’s up to the task and will excel in this new role.”

Jamie Williamson is a 25-year veteran of Adult Correction and began his law enforcement career as a Sheriff’s Deputy in Columbus County.  Since then, he has worked as a probation/parole officer (PPO) in New Hanover and Brunswick counties, before being promoted to chief probation/parole officer (CPPO) in 2012. Williamson has won several awards, created community programs and completed a variety of specialty training. He is a 2000 graduate of Mt. Olive College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
