The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction honored the veterans among its staff with an early Veterans Day celebration Wednesday.

Congratulations to North Carolina's newest group of Probation/Parole Officers. The twenty-two officers from Class 8 for 2024 completed their seven-week basic training at the North Carolina Justice academy in Salemburg.

Nearly every week, the 2,000 probation/parole officers of DAC’s Community Supervision conduct field operations and spot-checks to make sure people under supervision are abiding by their conditions.

The NC Department of Adult Correction recognized outstanding Division of Community Supervision employees on July 10 in a celebration at the McKimmon Center at North Carolina State University.

Officials with the Department of Adult Correction have promoted Jamie Williamson to the position of Judicial District Manager (JDM) in Judicial District 13 which covers Bladen, Brunswick and Columbus counties within Judicial Division 2.

For nearly a decade NCDAC has offered one-on-one and group peer support services to employees in an effort to help staff be at their best. This year, the  S.H.I.E.L.D. team has transformed services and service provision to provide improved, confidential mental health counseling, peer support, and outreach services to all NCDAC employees. S.H.I.E.L.D. is an acronym that stands for “support, hope, inclusion, empowerment, loyalty and dedication.”
Five agency staff members were honored during NC Governor Roy Cooper's Women’s History Month Reception today at the Governor's Mansion in Raleigh. All were selected as a result of their positive impact as public servants and their meaningful efforts in support of the agency's mission.
