The  ReBuild NC program has now opened a ninth application center in Pender County to provide assistance to Hurricane Matthew survivors in the surrounding area. This additional application center joins eight existing centers located in Bertie, Bladen, Columbus, Cumberland, Edgecombe, Lenoir, Robeson and Wayne counties.
The Pender County Application Center is located at:

19170 U.S. 421
Willard, NC
Hours of Operation

Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Hurricane Matthew impacted homeowners are encouraged to dial 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment to meet with an application specialist at the Pender County Application Center, or any other ReBuild NC application center. More information on locations and hours of operation can be found online at rebuild.nc.gov/application-centers.

During a scheduled appointment, application specialists are available to assist individuals with completing and submitting a program application for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery assistance for Hurricane Matthew related damages. On average, applications take about two hours to complete. A checklist of documents to bring to an appointment and more information on the application process can be found at rebuild.nc.gov/apply.

To be eligible for the ReBuild North Carolina program, you must have suffered damage to your home from Hurricane Matthew in 2016. If you also suffered damage from Hurricane Florence in addition to Hurricane Matthew, this will not prevent you from getting help for Hurricane Matthew damages through the ReBuild NC program.

Matthew Survivors: If your home was damaged in Hurricane Matthew, please call 2-1-1 to apply for possible financial assistance, or check on the status of your application if you have already applied. For more information, visit rebuild.nc.gov.

Florence Survivors: People who suffered damage from Hurricane Florence are encouraged to register for help by signing up with FEMA.

You can register for assistance by:
•    Calling 800-621-3362 (voice, 711 or VRS) or 800-462-7585 (TTY) from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
•    Going online to DisasterAssistance.gov
•    Downloading the FEMA mobile app
•    Downloading the ReadyNC app
•    Visiting any of the recovery centers that remain open. To find center locations and current hours, download the FEMA mobile app, the ReadyNC app, or visit FEMA.gov/DRC.
