Inmate Brandon Lineberger (#1040661) died Friday morning at Pasquotank Correctional Institution after an apparent suicide. He was found unresponsive in his cell Thursday night at approximately 11:24 p.m. Prison medical staff and local paramedics responded and worked to 
resuscitate the inmate. He was pronounced dead at 12 a.m. this morning at the facility by EMS

Lineberger, 30, was admitted to prison last May 14 on a charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury in Lincoln County. He was scheduled to be released in July 2033.
The Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office was called and is assisting with the investigation.
