MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor's Joint Reentry Council to Hold Meeting, Tuesday, March 12

The monthly meeting of the NC Joint Reentry Council will take place at Wake Tech Community College's Beltline Education Center in Raleigh.

WHAT: The monthly meeting of the Joint Reentry Council, established by Governor Roy Cooper under Executive Order 303, issued Jan. 29, which directs all State Cabinet agencies to coordinate efforts in improving rehabilitation and reentry of offenders returning to their communities after incarceration.  The Executive Order also joins North Carolina to Reentry 2030, a multistate initiative to improve services and expand opportunities for offenders as a means to reduce recidivism.
