Facility Programs and Services
The Facility Programs and Services team oversees and supports a broad array of policies, processes and partnerships to provide services to offenders at all NCDAC facilities.
Eligibility for and eventual placement into specific programs and services is determined by a variety of factors, including individual Risk & Need Assessments (RNA), individual interest, and agency or facility priorities. Programs and services available include:
- Opportunities for skills training and employment,
- Citizen participation and community engagement,
- Family services and parenting programs,
- Cognitive-behavioral interventions,
- Apprenticeship and work release opportunities,
- Individual case management,
- Diversionary programming, and more.
The team is supported by experienced staff who coordinate:
- Offender Labor and Assignment
- Case Management
- Citizen Participation
- Community Work Programs
- Rehabilitative Diversion Units
- Mutual Agreement Parole Program
- Family Services
Above all, the priorities of Facility Programs and Services is to support high-quality, evidence-based, and diverse opportunities that support successful preparation for reentry and North Carolina’s returning citizens.
